Overview

​Our English for Academic Purposes course is designed to prepare students for further study. There are two levels of EAP.

  • Level I has an entry level of IELTS 5.5. Completing Level I enables students to enrol in courses with an IELTS requirement of 6.
  • ​Level II has an entry level of IELTS 6. Completing Level II enables students to enrol in courses with an IELTS requirement of 6.5.

This qualification is delivered over a period of 10 – 24 Weeks

Location

189 Plenty Road, Preston, VIC 3072. Practical placement locations as negotiated by ALACC with individual Providers.

Qualification Description

Our English for Academic Purposes course is designed to prepare students for further study. There are two levels of EAP.

Level I has an entry level of IELTS 5.5. Completing Level I enables students to enrol in courses with an IELTS requirement of 6.

Level II has an entry level of IELTS 6. Completing Level II enables students to enrol in courses with an IELTS requirement of 6.5.

Each level is taught over a period of 10 weeks. Students can progress from Level I to Level II based on the results of their assessments.

Pre-requisites

The minimum age for eligible applicants is 18 years. Students must have successfully completed the equivalent of Year 11 according to the Australian Qualifications Framework

Timetable

Classes run four days a week, totaling 20 hours:

Monday – Thursday

9:00 – 3:30pm, including 1 ½ hours break.

Timing may be flexible, please enquire for more information.
