This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts. As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team. They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
This course will be delivered over a period of 560 nominal hours. Participants will have up to 7 months to complete this qualification.
This course will be delivered using a blended delivery model with a choice of a combination of online learning and/or a mixed delivery of online and some video conferencing or workshop-based delivery. Educators will also be available to provide the necessary support.

Successful completion of this qualification will enable you to progress to BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management or to gain employment in any Industry or Leadership and Management contexts.

ALACC has a simple & methodical RPL process which is outlined in detail in the RPL policy, Student Prospectus and on ALACC website, are encouraged to apply if you believe that they may be eligible.
Students may be able to shorten the length of their studies through the recognition of experience and qualifications gained elsewhere. Applications can be made for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). These will be assessed according to the College’s policy to determine if and how much advanced standing will be granted.
ALACC recognises AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other Registered Training Organisation in Australia. Students may request
total credit for a whole unit or qualification based on study in an identical unit or qualification at another institution. Suitable documentation such as a Statement of Attainment/ Transcript of results must be provided when applying for Credit Transfer. Applications can be made for Credit Transfer (CT) via online form from ALACC website or Student Portal.

There are no specific pre-requisite requirements for entry to this qualification as per the Training Package.
ALACC entry requirements require that applicants must:
· Be at least 18 years’ old
· Have satisfactorily completed Year 11 or equivalent
Although LLN test is not an entry requirement, the following may be considered by the students when commencing the course:
· Foundation skills and computer literacy skills may be required for learning activities related to the course. Where relevant, adequate student support is available.
An orientation session will be provided to students prior to commencing their study. ALACC offers student support services as per ALACC student support policy and helps with both academic and non-academic matters as applicable.
